GSM means grams per square metre. Higher GSM usually means a thicker knit, more warmth, and better wind resistance.
Lower GSM usually feels lighter, dries faster, and is better for high output.

Thin, warm and comfortable. Great length for slim but long fingers.
Got one for myself and one for a friend. It was a perfect present.
Wore them for a week, as base layers for skiing. When I had to remove outer shell gloves, the merino wool Isobaa gloves were nice and warm, as ever, but disintegrated because they are not robust enough to handle day-to-day fiddling with bindings, carrying skis and general use. Shame.
Sorry to hear that. We've issued a refund for them.

Large not big enough. Thumb too short.
I bought these gloves to use as a liner both for skiing and to wear under thicker merino gloves for added insulation. They do both jobs perfectly and are great quality supersoft merino - much like all other Isobaa products. Quality wise they are definitely superior to other more expensive gloves that I've owned.
Nicely made & warm :)
Lovely material and they are nice to look at but have two gripes:
They are not made for left and right so the thumb doesn’t sit properly and therefore a little uncomfortable.
Second they should be marketed as inner gloves. They really go inside gloves as an extra layer although maybe someone with raynaud’s might wear them on their own in warm weather.
Je pensais que en mettant 40 euros dans des gants j'aurais plus ce problème de froid aux mains ou du moins j'aurais moins froid. Cependant ça n'a pas du tout été le cas car je ne ressens pas la différence avec des gants bas de gamme.
We are sorry to hear the gloves did not meet your expectations. These are lightweight merino liner gloves, designed to regulate temperature, manage moisture, and add warmth as part of a layering system, rather than provide high levels of insulation on their own.
A higher price does not necessarily mean more warmth. Gloves serve different purposes, and warmth depends on insulation and construction, not just material quality. These are intended for layering or milder conditions, prioritising comfort and breathability.

Love, Love, love my slippers and gloves! My slippers are so comfy I have gone out three times forgetting I am wearing them and being so comfortable and blue they just look like boots! I am annoyed I laddered my gloves with my thumb ring, as they are quite thin, but they are so soft I am delighted to wear them. I am probably going to buy another pair asap now, as they are brilliant to have in my pocket for ease of use. Such a super brand!!
Sometimes it’s cold enough to need a little extra out on the slopes and these are perfect -thin, soft and warm.
Merino 180 Gloves (Black)
These gloves are not "handed"! i.e. both the left and right are identical (apart from the logo), which means the thumb is always in the wrong position and very uncomfortable. Crazy given the price!
It sounds like you may have received two of the same hand by mistake. Our gloves are made as left & right pairs, so please contact our support team with your order details and we’ll send a correct replacement.

Soft. Easy to wear. Washes well. Couldn’t ask for more.
These gloves are great because they’re quite minimal, but they are nice and warm. Love them also love the beanie as well.
Les gants fin. Ils sont bien adapter entre 5 et 10 degré. Sous 5 degré j'ai ressentis le froid. Malheureusement au bout de 6 mois d'utilisation ils ont commencer a se dégradé ( j'ai eu une trou au niveau du bout du doigt et une déchirure sur la pomme de main ). J'ai du tous recoudre.

just an update to my last review
the team at isobaa replaced the initial pair that came with a hole in the thumb with zero fuss or quibbles.
im very pleased with the gloves
great "pocket" gloves - can be worn on their own for those brisk days or they work just as well as a liner glove for those colder days.
either way they feel so luxurious on and (aside from an unfortunate pull on my first pair) the quality is top notch.

I’ve purchased a hat and a blanket from Isobaa and love them both.
I’m quite disappointed with these gloves though. Quality wise, stitching and fit, they are top notch. Problem is I don’t feel they are any good for keeping my hands warm. In 10C my hands were cold. They could be good using them as a base layer but I would have thought using them in conjunction with another pair of winter gloves wouldn’t be needed in a fresh October day! In brief, they are no use to me.

quite honestly im just a bit disappointed by them.
possibly my own fault but its besides the point.
bought the gloves in a black size medium because they were on sale during the summer.
initially and straight out of the box i was impressed by the feel and quality of them and then i put them away in a drawer until they were needed.
first chance i had to wear them i dug them out and to find to my despair that when i put them on the left index finger has a hole in the end of it.
i could try and fix it, but more than likely ill just bin them and buy an alternative
such a shame because they are exactly what i was after
